We've partnered with Laura Jackson, co-founder of Glassette - the homewares marketplace, curating objects from the best homeware brands in the UK, and our artist in residence Shaquille-Aaron Keith.
Cocktails With Flair: The Explorer
London Dry Gin
An invigorating green tomato and basil gimlet. As Laura asks, 'what happens when you begin an evening with unexplored landscapes - where is it possible to climb to from there?'
Exploring a world of innovative flavours, this gimlet ventures into a combination of sweet green tomato syrup with Nicholson’s London Dry Gin. A unexpected marriage made it heaven.
Add to a cocktail shaker:
- 2 ounces of tomato cordial
- 1/2 ounce of simple syrup
- 2 ounces of Nicholson London Dry Gin
- Shake well and pour over ice
- Garnish with green tomatoes and curly stems
For The cordial
- Blitz together one cup of chopped green tomatoes, one cup of cucumber, peeled and diced, a few basil leaves and a half a squeezed lime.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve and set aside
For the simple syrup
- Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a saucepan and stir until dissolved
- Let cool
